Huan (Noah) Nguyen, MBA, MSc, PMP®
I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Business Information Technology (BIT) at Virginia Tech, Pamplin College of Business, starting in Fall 2026.
I hold advanced degrees in Management (MBA) and Information Technology (MSc), along with professional certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP®). My scholarly work bridges the domains of information systems, human behavior, and digital innovation.
My research examines the socio-technical dimensions of information systems, technology management, and organizational behavior, with emphasis on cybersecurity and privacy, digital leadership, entrepreneurship, and technology-enabled organizational transformation. Using quantitative and computational methods, including surveys, experiments, structural equation modeling, econometric analysis, machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, bibliometric analysis, systematic reviews, and meta-analysis, I study how emerging technologies shape behavior, decision-making, and strategic outcomes across multiple levels of analysis.
My scholarly contributions have appeared in peer-reviewed journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, European Journal of Innovation Management, Acta Psychologia, and SAGE Open. My work has also been presented at premier information systems conferences including the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), and the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS).
I serve the academic community as an ad-hoc reviewer for reputable journals including Information Systems Frontiers, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, International Journal of Information Management Data Insights, The International Journal of Management Education, and Asian Education and Development Studies. In addition, I contribute as a reviewer for leading conferences such as the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), and the Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS).
